The
Reaction completed a 4 day mini-tour of Newfoundland in
one crazy week in August - with no shortage of obstacles, the guys
held-up and rocked hard to enthusiastic crowds in
Stephenville, Grand Falls and 2 nights in St. John's at Junctions.
Many thanks to Vince who carried the load well when Rick saw
his plans felled at the last minute due to an illness in the
family. (Hang in there Rick!)
The live sound was great
and fans were treated to a few new twists on some of the
versions found on the current CD. Considering the
co-ordination required to get everyone in and on the same page for
this sort of road show, things went surprisingly well. Fantastic,
considering that this was the first road trip in more than 20
years. Congrats guys!!
Andrew Lavigne acted as lighting tech, general roadie and photo
documentarian..."I'm living the dream - road trip with the band!"
he exclaimed over a few honey brown ales.... you have to love the
dedication of this film and television professional...when Mike
mentioned that he was putting the band together for the road,
Andrew volunteered to cross the continent and help out however he
could!
"Good on' Ya Andrew!!" -
we're looking forward to possibly posting a few of the better
shots on the web site soon.
There are plenty of other
people to thank and I'll leave that to Mike and the boys for
later. There are so many friends supporting this effort, I'd hate
to miss anybody. It was also great to see the guys from
Hammingwell out for the St. John's shows, great musicians and a
great bunch of guys! A special thanks to the fans in Western
and Central Newfoundland...it was impressive to see such
dedication for shows on Wednesday and Thursday nights!! Thanks
too, to the staff and management of Clancy's Pub in Stephenville,
Kelly's Inn in Grand Falls- Windsor, and Junctions in St. John's -
Serious rock lives in these places! Another nod to the good folks
at K-Rock and CBC for the little extra bit of exposure you offered
- it was hugely appreciated and a lot of fun!
Anyway, watch here for any Fall news, news on the band and new
music and a full wrap-up of the tour. If you missed the
tour, don't forget the CD is available from us or from selected
music stores in Newfoundland.

It's Here!
The Reaction'
s long -
awaited release launched in late March , 2005. Early reviews are
outstanding and fans are sure to love the mix of the old and new
material!
"Even
if you've been a long time fan of the Reaction, You'll love
some of the new exciting sounds that show that the music has
evolved & kept pace with the times. The raw power of the old tunes
continues to come through in the new material ! Yet there are
plenty of places where the new material shows a love of the
musical cutting edge and a desire to surf the current new wave!
There are
few CDs that you can play today that will bring you back in time
to the tumultuous era at end of the Seventies and the birth of the
Eighties - and then fill out the experience with a solid
collection of NEW material for people who like the "post Y2K"
sounds! This CD offers all that!
It's Past meets Present with a sprinkling of the Future mixed in for good
measure! "
For those who have an interest in the adventure of recording the
New CD - we've got a treat for you!
Mike Fisher offers
his take on the story behind the double CD and the thrill of the recording sessions

Formed in
1978 in St. John's Newfoundland The Reaction played Eastern Canada
as one of Canada's first punk bands.
Their only release a 7" vinyl "On the
Beach/The Kid's Arrived" is a sought out collectors item.
Michael Fisher, Rick Harbin & Terry Carter & later Dan
Ralph - recorded 60 minutes of music that was never released but had
become live hits. Those who lived the "The Reaction Experience" had
only memories, others - too young - might never know the thrill....
but now, there's exciting news!
Soon
you can hear all their unreleased
material as well as several NEW songs that were recorded this
year.
